PanaTeQ 2018
PanaTeQ’s VPX3-RFSOC is a 3U OpenVPX module based on the Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC device from Xilinx. The Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC integrates a Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 based Application Processing Unit (APU), a Dual-core ARM Cortex-R5 based Real-Time Processing Unit (RPU) and an UltraScale+ Programmable Logic (PL) in a single device. It also integrates a RF Data Converter Subsystem that provides 8x 12-bit, 4GS/s ADC and 8x 14-bit 6.4GS/s DAC, available on RF board front connectors.   The first version of the board will be equipped with  a XCZU25DR-1FFVE1156 device tightly coupled up to 8GB of 64-bit with 8-bit ECC of DDR4-2400 Processing Memory. Up to 4GB 32-bit of DDR4-2400 is available as the Programmable Logic Memory, allowing data streaming applications signal processing.   The board can act as Single Board Computer in the VPX system due to its on-board PCIe Gen3 Switch. When VPX3-RFSOC is System Controller, it can manage up to 8x 3U OpenVPX slots with a PCIe x1 Gen3 link per slots. There is no need to add any SBC in the VPX system, improving Size, Weight, Power and Cost (SWaP-C) A large number of Zynq Ultrascale+ RFSoC peripherals are available on VPX backplane : USB 3.0/2.0, SATA 3.1, RS-232/422/485 , DisplayPort 1.2, GPIO . The VPX signals pinout is compatible with PanaTeQ’s VPX3-ZU1 module and Rear Transition I/O RTM-RFSOC .
